The “Competition Law Implementation Program” (CLIP) is implemented with support from the Economic Cooperation Support Program under the ASEAN-Australia-New Zealand Free Trade Area (AANZFTA).
CLIP provides tailored training and promotes the practical skills exchange between competition-related agencies in ASEAN and the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) as well as the New Zealand Commerce Commission (NZCC). Activities under CLIP relate to regional cooperation, institution building and development, as well as advocacy and awareness raising.
Funding: 2.2 million AUD (10/2014/-12/2015)
The project “Competition Policy and Law in ASEAN” (CPL Project) is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) of Germany and implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
Working closely with the ASEAN Experts Group on Competition (AEGC) and the ASEAN Secretariat, the CPL Project provides advice and assistance towards promoting fair competition in the region. The focus lies on strengthening regional cooperation among the Member States, building enforcement capacities, improving the legal framework, and advocacy vis-à-vis different stakeholders.
