The ASEAN Experts Group on Competition (AEGC) is established as the forum for discussing and coordinating competition policies, with the goal of promoting a healthy competitive environment in the ASEAN region.  

The AEGC comprise of representatives nominated by AMS from the respective competition authorities if these competition authorities have been established; and from the agencies that are most directly involved in and responsible for competition policies in ASEAN Member States where the competition authorities have not yet been established.
