Puteri Sofia Amirnuddin is currently a Senior Law Lecturer and a Programme Director for Master of Laws programmes at Taylor’s University. Throughout her 8-year stint as a law lecturer, she has published 4 book chapters, 9 journal articles and made 9 paper presentations at conferences. She has had experience in holding various positions such as Deputy Chairperson for ICFLP 2019 Conference, Conference Secretariat, Stream Coordinator of ICHC 2018 Conference, Principal Grant Holder of RM16,000, Academic Integrity Officer, Internal Auditor, External Examiner, Newsletter Editor-in-Chief, Programme Leader for KDU-Oxford Brookes University (UK) programme, Panel Member for Full-Fee Scholarship for University of Tasmania (Australia), Committee Member of CRELDA journal, Contributor for Marketing in Asia, Visiting Scholar at University of Reading and University of Leeds. Puteri Sofia Amirnuddin is also a professional trainer certified by Human Resource Development Fund (HRDF) Malaysia.
She was also a keynote speaker at an International Conference, panellist/speaker for 22 local and international conferences, webinars, summit and workshops. She has also served as a moderator for local and international events. She has appeared in presentations alongside the former Chief Justice of Malaysia, Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Richard Malanjum and also Court of Appeal Judge, YA Dato Lee Swee Seng.
She has also received numerous awards for revolutionising teaching and learning techniques to teach law. In 2017, she was awarded with 'Exemplary Meritorious Award Staff' (EMAS) being the first law lecturer in Taylor’s Law School to be awarded with such award. In 2018, she was awarded with 2 awards namely "Gold Award" and "Most Innovative Award" from University of Malaya for redesigning the formative assessment for English Land Law. In 2019, she was a recipient of Gold Award for teaching law using Augmented Reality, Neuro-Linguistic Programming and also Gamification.
Puteri Sofia Amirnuddin was also awarded with "President's Award for Transformative Teaching and Learning” being the highest award conferred by the President of Taylor’s University. She is the pioneer in teaching law using Augmented Reality in Malaysia and her teaching innovation has been featured in various newspapers, newsletters and social media platforms locally and internationally. She is a firm believer of ‘educator educating educators’ and is passionate in empowering educators to innovate their teaching methods. Puteri Sofia is active in sharing her insights, knowledge and experience with other educators around the world such as in United Kingdom, Singapore, Peru, India, Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia. She has made a presentation on gamification to the academics from Public and Private Higher Education Institutions organized by Game Development Council of Malaysia and Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia (Academic Excellence Division). Recently, she has been recognized as ‘MIA 70 Rising Personalities on LinkedIn in Malaysia in 2020’ by Marketing in Asia.
