The Philippine Competition Commission joined the public launch of the Philippine Development Plan 2017-2022 on June 2, 2017 at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex. For the first time in socio-economic planning history , a chapter on competition (Chapter 16) has been included in the Philippine Development Plan, alongside 20 other chapters that comprise the official economic roadmap of the Philippines. During the breakout sessions, PCC Executive Director Gwen de Vera discussed the salient points of Chapter 16, including the benefits of market competition and the core strategies on leveling the playing field through a national competition policy.
